Q:  What type of housing is Mason Place? 

A:  Mason Place is a Project Based Section 8 housing for older adults and the disabled.

Q:  Who pays the remainder of rent?

A:  The remainder of the rent is paid in the form of a subsidy by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), a U.S. government agency.

Q:  Is there a lease?

A:  Yes, one-year initially, then month to month.

Q:  How big are the apartments?

A:  Mason Place offers spacious studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments.  They range in size from 630 to 972 square feet.

Q:  How do I get started with the move in process?

A:  Contact our on-site manager for an application.

Q:  Is there a waiting list for residency?

A:  Yes.

Q:  What is the Security Deposit?

A:  There is no Security Deposit required.

Q:  Do you allow pets?

A:  Mason Place welcomes you and your pet.  Fish and birds are welcomed, along with small dogs and cats.  There is a limit of one animal (cat or dog) per apartment and there are certain size and breed restrictions.

Q:  What is the Pet Deposit?

A:  There is no pet deposit required.

Q:  Is parking available?

A:  Our downtown location does not allow for parking. 

Q:  Are there on-site laundry facilities?

A:  Yes, there is a coin-operated laundry facility on site.

Q:  How many keys do I receive?

A:  Each unit receives one full set of keys – main entrance key, unit key, and mailbox key.

Q:  Do you have a resident services coordinator or activity coordinator on staff?

A:  No, but there are many activities coordinated by the Mason Place property manager, including Tai Chi lessons an
