Loess Hills Estates

Loess Hills Estates is located in Glenwood, Iowa and consists of 20 units including 15 one bedrooms and 5 studio apartments. Two units are designed specifically for those mobility impairments. The community of Glenwood is within easy driving distance of the popular Loess Hills State Forest. As one of Iowa’s top five tourist attractions, this area is well-known for its beautiful red, yellow and orange autumn foliage.

Our community offers a variety of recreational activities, including bingo, potluck suppers, birthday celebrations, card games, and other social gatherings. Our residents are active participants in RHF’s Project H.A.N.D.S.

Do you have any 2 bedroom apartments?

No, only studio and one-bedrooms

How long is the waiting list?

The waiting list varies for numerous reasons therefore it is impossible to give a time frame for availability. It may be tomorrow or a couple of months. It all depends on who accepts and who is still in need. Being on the waiting list does not obligate a person it only holds your space in line.

Are pets allowed at your facility?

One dog 25 lbs. or under (adult size) is allowed but must be spayed or neutered; must have distemper and rabies shots documents; and must be licensed by the proper city/county authorities when applicable.

One cat 15 lbs. or under is allowed but must be spayed or neutered; must have distemper and rabies shots documents; and must be licensed by the proper city/county authorities when applicable.

Birds maximum number 2; Fish, maximum aquarium size is 20 gallons; Rodents such as hamsters, guinea pigs, or rabbits are permitted. Reptiles and Exotic Animals: Snakes, lizards, and iguanas are not permitted.
