Assisted Living at Bishop's Glen is designed to promote maximum independence and dignity for those who may need assistance to improve their quality of life in acitivities of daily living.

Extended Congregate Care
Extended Congregate Care (ECC) offers a home-like setting in apartments for those who need assistance with most Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) because of physical or memory impairments. In addition to the services provided in Assisted Living, ECC provides daily housekeeping, assistance with all activities of daily living, administration and supervision of medications, and medical procedures such as injections when ordered by the physician and permitted by state regulations.
ECC is the appropriate setting for comfort care for the terminally ill (Hospice).
Health Care Center
Our 60-bed Health Care Center is certified by Medicare and Medicaid and we offer priority admission to residents of Bishop's Glen. The standard of care in therapeutic and rehabilitation services are available for those in need of 24 hour skilled nursing supervision during convalescence or extended stay.
Individualized care plans are developed for each resident to ensure the orders from their personal physician are followed.
Care is supervised by well-trained, experienced Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses.
Physical, speech, occupational, respiratory, and IV therapy are available when ordered by the physician.
Restaurant style meals are served in our pleasant dining rooms.
Social, physical and mentally stimulating activities are provided daily.
Private and semi-private rooms are available.
Rehabilitative services are designed to enable residents to maintain the highest level of functioning regardless of medical status or length of residency. Our goal is to return the resident to the highest independent level possible.
Consultation and treatment is available to residents in Independent and Assisted Living for physical, occupational and speech therapy on an outpatient basis.
Supportive Services
Additional personal services can be provided for a fee to residents by the staff in our Supportive Services Program. Assistance with daily living such as shopping, transportation, laundry, and housekeeping are the most common services utilized. Companion care, escort services to on-campus meals and activities are also available.
Respite Care
The overnight respite service is designed for individuals who are in need of a supervised environment. Respite care is available by the night or by the week. A private bedroom and bath is provided in a residential apartment. The apartment has been especially adapted to provide for safety and comfort. Three nutritional meals are provided daily. Additionally, one can make use of all amenities and services available to our residents including activities and recreational events.
