Why should I consider Bishop's Glen now and not remain in my present home?

There are multiple advantages to making Bishop's Glen your home compared to keeping a private residence. You will not have to worry about dealing with contractors or maintenance costs that are necessary to maintain a private home. (Please see our Value section for a cost comparison.) We will take care of the maintenance concerns such as lawn care, electric and water bills, property taxes, pest control, etc.

You will live in a community with compassionate and friendly residents. We are here 24 hours a day to ensure your safety and to provide you with friendly, courteous customer service with the goal of surpassing your expectations.

Your new home will provide you with the amenities you deserve.

Do you allow small pets at Bishop's Glen?

Yes, we are a pet-friendly community and we encourage residents who care for their cats and small dogs to bring them to our community. There is a small pet deposit.

Can my spouse stay with me at Bishop's Glen as we age even though we have different needs?

We offer four levels of care and if a spouse has to transfer to another level of care, most often the spouse will be able to transfer with them. For example, if the wife or husband moves to Assisted Living the spouse could also transfer with them. One spouse would pay for the assisted living services and the other spouse would only pay for residential living.

How will I spend my time at Bishop's Glen?

You can choose your leisure activities. You can still be involved in your present community activities such as fraternal organizations. Your life here on campus can keep you actively involved. (Please see our section on Recreation and Volunteerism.) After choosing from dances, bridge, Wine and Cheese, Class Act - our Friday night entertainment, exercise programs, trips off campus or other events throughout the week, you will go to sleep each night feeling that you made the best decision of your life in making Bishop's Glen your home.

You can be involved as much as you choose or if you desire limited social involvement that's okay too.

Will I still be able keep my regular habits, friends, and lifestyle if I make Bishop's Glen my home?

Yes, in fact, you will be able able to spend more quality time with family and friends because you will not have to take up precious time dealing with the many tedious, mundane responsibilities of running a household. Your family and friends will be more relaxed knowing that you are in an safe, supportive environment and they will be able to visit you just like they did at your previous residence.
