Living at Independence Square means everything to me.  In April of 1996 I went into a YMCA to hide from an abusive husband.  I was 69 years old.   I had a daughter living with me at the time.  She called Independence Square and I got an apartment.  The security was good.

New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA) has honored Symphony Plaza with their prestigious Communities of Quality Award.  Symphony Plaza, a 404 unit development in Boston, Massachusetts received the award for Exemplary Development for the Elderly.

Gloria Green


I moved to Harvest Pointe in July 2009. I am a senior citizen who has medical problems such as diabetes and other health issues. Since living at Harvest Pointe I no longer fear not receiving emergency medical help if I should need it. I also feel safe.

 2011 Volunteers of the Year


Ginny Beaver, Activity Director at Mayflower Gardens Retirement Community writes, “Twelve years ago, Anita and Forest Wasson and members of the Quartz Hill First Four Square Church began their food ministry out of their home.  In the beginning, they were feeding three families a week.  Now, about 1,200 people benefit from their efforts each month.

Michael Don Logan


My sister is helping write this because my hands aren’t too steady.  I’m a 64 year old Viet Nam veteran.  I fell and shattered my left hip in 2007 and had a complete hip replacement. After my healing process I discovered I could not go up and down steps very well.  My sister and I came out to Lindsay Place and I liked it right away…no steps.
