Retirement Housing Foundation has built its portfolio of communities through acquisition, working with civic and community groups, and working with local, state, and federal governments in obtaining funds to build communities for older adults, people with various types of disabilities, and low income families.
The Spring of 2012 will see at least three groundbreakings for new affordable RHF communities: Lane Manor in Stone Mountain, Georgia - a 54-unit HUD 202 community for older adults; Barringer Gardens in Charlotte, North Carolina - an 85-unit HUD 202/Tax Credit community for older adults; and, The Whittier in Los Angeles, California - a 60-unit Low Income Housing Tax Credit community for families.
Retirement Housing Foundation was recently awarded more than $40 million in HUD 202 grants for two communities in Los Angeles, California; a community in Houston, Texas; and a community in San Antonio, Texas.
College Villas, RHF's first affordable community (Tax Credit) in Nevada is scheduled to be openned in the late Spring of 2012.
