Ms. Battaglia began her employment with RHF in March 1987 as an Executive Secretary. Ms. Battaglia has been promoted several times during her employment and has been working in the Human Resources Department since 1990. She became a Personnel Manager in January 1990 and was promoted to Director of Human Resources in May 1998. She was appointed Vice President of Human Resources on September 15, 2000. She completed a Human Resources Management program at California State University, Long Beach, in 1990 and UC Irvine in 1996.

She is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating Human Resources policies and procedures for the entire organization. She is also responsible for employment issues, hiring and termination policies, conduct internal investigations, wage and salary administration, employee relations, leave of absences (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, Pregnancy Leave, etc.), health insurance and retirement programs, unemployment insurance, training, legal compliance, governmental regulations, and assist supervisors/managers with various employee issues.
