We currently have an open position for a Maintenance Supervisor at our Plymouth Place located in Stockton, CA.

JOB DUTIES:

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Property Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and economical maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment. The desired result of these duties will be an environment that is safe, attractive, and fiscally responsible. Will supervise staff toward the completion of the goals

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

All duties and responsibilities are under the direction of the Property Manager.

Operate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems efficiently, diagnose problems and make or contract for repairs as needed.

Must be able to evaluate on a regular basis the need for building/grounds repairs and renovations.

Must work with various contractors in a manner that is professional, fiscally responsible, and that protects the company from financial liabilities.

Must perform the repair of minor work orders on a timely basis.

Must prepare vacated apartments for new move-ins as scheduled in coordination with other departments.

Must possess strong painting, and carpentry skills. As well as experience in flooring.

Must take a part in life safety in-services and related drills. (Must provide a high level of safety in all duties, in relation to residents, visitors, and staff.)

Must provide a high level of communication with other departments. Must provide a high level of customer service to residents and families, responding to their needs in a manner that is courteous, timely, and thorough.

This position requires the ability and willingness to work different shifts and extended hours as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises employees of the Maintenance Department in the absence of the Property Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

REQUIREMENTS:

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
