Q: What is Cocalico Place?

A: Cocalico Place is a subsidized housing community for seniors 62 years or older.

Q: What do I need to do to get into Cocalico Place?

A: Simply complete an application and mail it to the address on the back.

Q: Is there a waiting list?

A: Yes, please call for an approximate waiting time.

Q: Is there a Security Deposit?

A: The Security Deposit is the same as one month rent with a minimum of $50. This deposit is due in full at the signing of the lease.

Q: How much will my rent be?

A: Rent is based on approximately 30% of annual income. A good estimate of your rent would be to take 30% of your gross annual income and divide it by 12 months. This will give you an estimate of what your monthly rent could be.

Q: What does my rent include?

A: Heat, hot water, sewer and trash removal is all included in the rent.

Q: How many apartments are there?

A: Cocalico Place has 60 apartments.

Q: How big are the apartments?

A: Cocalico Place offers spacious studio and one bedroom apartments. The square footage of the studio apartments are approximately 389 square feet and one bedroom apartments are approximately 562 square feet.

Q: Do the apartments have washers and dryers?

A: No, Cocalico Place has a laundry center conveniently located on the 2nd floor. There are three coin operated washers and two coin operated dryers as well as folding areas and a sink for the convenience of our residents.

Q: Is there an elevator?

A: Yes, there is one elevator which is easily accessible by all residents on all floors.

Q: Is parking available?

A: Yes, Cocalico Place offers its residents the use of two parking lots, one in the front of the building and one in the back
