What type of housing is Normandie Terrace Apartments?  Is it low-income housing?

Normandie Terrace Apartments is a multi-family, tax credit community. A specific maximum monthly rent which may be charged for the apartment, which amount is subject to annual adjustment based upon median incomes as determined by HUD. Each apartment at the property must be leased to “Qualified Households” as defined by Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code.  Qualified Households must meet certain income limitations.

Do tenants pay utilities?

Yes, tenants are responsible to pay for their utilities, electricity, cable/the internet, and phone services. Ownership pays for all other utilities trash and water/sewer.

Do the apartments include appliances, if yes, what is provided?

Each apartment includes an electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and garbage disposal.

Is there a lease?

Yes, there is a one-year lease.

How many apartments are there?

Normandie Terrace Apartments has 66 apartments.

How big are the apartments?

Normandie Terrace Apartments offers spacious one, two, and three bedroom apartments, as well as a few accessible apartments for the mobility, impaired.

Is there a waiting list for residency?

Yes, but unfortunately Normandie Terrace Apartments waiting list is currently closed.  Please call for the approximate waiting time.

What is the Security Deposit?

The Security Deposit is the same as one month’s rent.

Do you allow pets?

Normandie Terrace Apartments does not allow pets.

What is the pet deposit?

No pets.

Is this a smoke-free property?

Yes.

Is there additional storage space available?

There is no additional storage available.

Is there an elevator?

Yes, there is one elevator located in the center of the building, easily accessible by all residents on all floors.

Is parking available?

Yes, Normandie Terrace Apartments offers its residents the use of one parking space, with additional on-street parking. 

What is the cost for parking?

There is no cost for parking.

How many keys do I receive?

Residents receive an apartment key, a key to a locked mailbox for their apartment, and an access key to the main entry. Our main entrances are intercom controlled and automatically open with the key.

Are there any planned activities?

Are there on-site laundry facilities?

Normandie Terrace Apartments is equipped with one laundry facility located on the 1st floor. It contains six coin-operated washers and six coin-operated dryers with a folding table for the convenience of our residents.

What is the garbage/recycling process?

Each floor is provided with a trash chute to dispose of trash directly into a dumpster. We also have a recycling center located on the 1st floor to dispose of any cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, glass, and aluminum cans.

Is there any public transportation available?

Yes, the City of Los Angeles offers transit services, which include Metro bus, rail, and Amtrak.
