Q: Is there an elevator?

A: Yes, in the center of the building.

Q: How many apartments are there?

A: 45- 5 are specifically modified for persons with disabilities.

Q: How big are the apartments?

A: Round House Manor offers spacious studios and one-bedroom apartments, as well as a few more accessible apartments designed for the mobility impaired. The square footage of a studio apartment is approximately 400 square feet and a one-bedroom apartment is approximately 500 square feet.

Q: Is there a lease?

A: Yes, there is a 1-year lease, but we understand the necessity of unanticipated move-outs. Your lease is then month to month after your first year is completed.

Q: Is RHM low-income housing?

A: Yes, but we prefer to use the wording “subsidized housing” or “affordable housing”.

Q: How is monthly rent calculated?

A: Resident rent is based on approximately 30% of income.

Q: What does a resident share of rent include?

A: Rental of the apartment, as well as heat, water & electricity.

Q: Who pays the remainder of rent?

A: A U.S. government agency called the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Q: Is a security deposit required?

A: Yes

Q: How much is the security deposit?

A: Is equal to the resident monthly rent at move in.

Q: Is parking available?

A: Yes

Q: What is the cost for parking?

A: There is no cost.

Q: Is there a garage &/or covered parking?

A: No – vehicles do not need to be moved for snow removal.

Q: Additional storage available?

A: No, but our apartments all feature ample closet and kitchen storage.

Q: How many keys do I receive?

A: You will receive one key fob for the outside entry doors and one for your apartment/mailbox. Additional apartment/mailbox keys will be available in the management office.

Q: Available social activities?

A: Anything from bingo, cards, puzzles, pot-luck meals, gardening, crafts, educational seminars, health services (blood pressure checks, flu shots) etc. to anything not thought of or tried yet. We believe that social engagement is important to our residents and to our community. Our residents regularly engage in volunteerism in our community and are encouraged to spend time doing meaningful activities to enrich their lives. While Round House Manor does not have an Activity Director, the Service Coordinator will work with residents and local organizations to bring in events and activities for residents and guests to enjoy.

Q: Laundry facilities?

A: 2 coin operated washers and 2 coin operated dryers on both the 1st and 2nd floors.

Q: Garbage/recycling process?

A: Both the 1st and 2nd floors have areas specifically for garbage/recycling purposes. Outagamie County enforces mandatory recycling and there are clearly labeled receptacles in each garbage room.

Q: How do I get started with the move in process?

A: Simply fill out an application completely, sign it and mail it to the address on the back of the application.  To receive an application, just stop in or call and we will be happy to assist you with the application process.

Q: Is there a waiting list for residency?

A: Yes

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: Yes, 1 dog or 1 cat. A $150 pet security deposit is required. Size and breed limitations may apply.

Q: Do you have internet access?

A: Yes, there is Wi-Fi through the building for residents and their guests to enjoy at no cost. There is a small computer area with a laptop and a printer for residents to use.
