Verde View Senior Apartments is an affordable, older adult (62+) community with several apartments equipped to accommodate those who are mobility impaired (available to those over the age of 18).
Our community is located within walking distance of pharmacies, grocery stores, and specialty stores. In town there are several restaurants, a post office, and a casino.
Medical facilities and services are located in Cottonwood, 15 miles away. Meals-On-Wheels and Adult Care are available upon request to our residents. Transportation is available by bus or taxi.
A Social Service Coordinator is available to help residents’ find services for their personal needs.
Pets are welcomed but require a deposit and have size limitations.

What type of housing is Verde View? Is it low income housing?
Verde View is a subsidized housing community for seniors over the age of 62 and the mobility impaired. The term “subsidized housing” means that the rent is based on income. A resident of the community pays approximately 30% of their income as rent.
Who pays the remainder of rent?
The remainder of the rent is paid in the form of a subsidy. If a resident qualifies for a subsidy, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), a U.S. government agency, will pay the remainder of the rent.
How is rent calculated?
Resident rent is based on approximately 30% of income. A good estimate of your rent would be to take 30% of your gross annual income and divide it by 12 months. This will give you an estimate of what your monthly rent could be.
What does the rent include?
Monthly rental of the apartment, as well as heat, water, trash pick-up and an electric allowance. An electric allowance is a certain amount taken off of the resident’s rent payment meant to help the resident pay the electric bill. The allowance amount is based on average usage for the apartment and may change annually. Residents will still receive an electric bill, but the allowance is intended to help pay for it. Residents may still be eligible for energy assistance from the state.
Is there a lease?
Yes, there is a one-year lease, but we understand the necessity of unanticipated move-outs.
How many apartments are there?
Verde View has 40 apartments.
How big are the apartments?
Verde View offers spacious studio and one-bedroom apartments, as well as a few more-accessible apartments for the mobility impaired. For square footage, studio apartments are approximately 415 square feet and one-bedroom apartments and accessible apartments are approximately 539 square feet.
How do I get started with the move in process?
Simply fill out an application completely, sign it and mail it to the address on the back of the application.
Is there a waiting list for residency?
Yes, currently Verde View has a waiting list. Please call for the approximate waiting time.
What is the Security Deposit?
The Security Deposit is the same as one month’s full rent (before the electric allowance) with a minimum of $50. This deposit is due in full at the signing of the lease.
Do you allow pets?
Verde View welcomes your pet. Fish and birds are welcomed without a deposit. We also welcome small dogs and cats with a pet deposit. There is a limit of one animal (cat or dog) per apartment and there are certain size and breed restrictions.
What is the Pet Deposit?
The pet deposit is $150.00. We can make payment arrangements for this deposit. Beginning with $50 and then a monthly payment of $10 until the deposit is paid in full.
Is there additional storage space available?
There is no additional storage available, however, each style of apartment offers a large amount of storage space.
Is there an elevator?
Yes, there in one elevator located in the center of the building easily accessible by all residents, on all floors.
Is parking available?
Yes, Verde View offers its residents the use of three parking lots.
What is the cost for parking?
There is no cost for parking.
How many keys do I receive?
Residents receive an apartment key, a key to a locked mailbox for their apartment, and an access key to the main entry. Our main entrances are intercom controlled and automatically open with the key.
Are there any planned activities?
Verde View prints a monthly calendar showing the dates and times of various activities. There is also a puzzle and craft room used daily for putting together puzzles and other various crafting projects.
Are there on-site laundry facilities?
There is one laundry center at Verde View. It contains two coin operated washers and two coin operated dryers with folding and hanging areas and a sink for the convenience of our residents. This center is located on the ground floor.
Is there any public transportation available?
There is local bus service and taxi service available.
