Volunteer of the Year 2016
Los Angeles, CA
Samire Elhouty has consistently provided valuable pro-bono legal consultation to low-income, at risk Angelus Plaza residents and community elders since he moved to the Los Angeles area two years ago, logging more than 1,000 hours.
Samire firmly believes that professional intervention can empower seniors to navigate a daunting bureaucracy.
“I know that almost immediately upon moving to Los Angeles, Samire began volunteering at Angelus Plaza,” said Rosemarie Lewis from the firm of Borton Petrini, LLP. “We have supported his work providing free estate and end of life planning consultations to numerous residents and related members of the community.”
Samire K. Elhouty is an attorney with the Los Angeles office of Borton Petrini, LLP. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and attended Cornell Law School where he received his J.D.
RHF is pleased to present Samire Elhouty with the 2016 Volunteer of the Year Award.
